Actress Angie Harmon has split from NFL player Jason Sehron after 13 years of marriage, People reports.

"For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives," Harmon's rep recently told People.

Though the exact cause of the couple's split remains unknown, E! News suggests that their TV engagement and long distance relationship might have added "pressure" to the couple's marriage.

According to E! News, Sehorn proposed to Harmon during an episode of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," back in 1998.

During an interview with YourTango, Harmon admitted that the on-air proposal added "a lot of pressure" to say "yes" to Sehorn.

She also revealed the advice Kyra Sedgwick gave her following her engagement.

"[She] told me, 'Keep your heart where your feet are" and that's incredibly difficult to do. It takes a lot of concentration. You've got to be conscientious of each other.'"

Harmon later went on to film her TNT series "Rizzoli & Isles" near Los Angeles while her family remained in Charlotte, North Carolina, E! News reports.

Filming the series proved to be difficult due to the show's grueling schedule that forced her to be away from her children.

"We don't get out Friday nights early enough to catch a flight home," Angie told YourTango about balancing filming and spending time with her family. "So I'm here. We sometimes meet in Texas, a 2½ hour flight for both of us. I miss my kids, so it's hard, but my children are so understanding," she explained to YourTango.

TMZ reports that Sehorn and Harmon have three daughters together who are ages 11, 9, and 5.

Though neither Harmon nor Sehorn have spoken publicly about their separation, Harmon tweeted some encouraging words to a fan on Sunday about overcoming obstacles in life.
