Kim Kardashian may want to stick to working in fashion and reality television, since politics doesn't seem to be her thing.

On Monday, the 34-year-old mother of North West announced that she will be standing with President Barack Obama on Election Day via Instagram and Twitter. The problem, however, is that Obama cannot be elected for another term. In addition, the next presidential election is not until 2016.

"I'm standing w Obama in the midterm election 2morrow! Find out what u need to cast ur ballot," wrote Kardashian Monday night along with a cartoonish image from her mobile game that shows her standing next to the president in front of the White House.

Her post also included a link to the iwillvote.com website, which provides information to voters on their polling locations and electoral deadlines.

It's unclear if Kardashian was referring to her overall support for the president and the Democratic Party on Election Day, or if she actually believed Obama was running for a third term in the Oval Office.

Regardless, the post sparked backlash on social media from people who questioned whether Kardashian was confused about the midterm election.

".@KimKardashian Kim it's just a midterm election," wrote one Twitter user with the handel @notkiangass.

"@KimKardashian: I'm standing w Obama in the midterm election 2morrow! <~~~ everything you need to know right there," tweeted @chrishardergolf.

Last week, Kardashian shared adorable photos on Instagram of her 16-month-old daughter dressed up as a skunk on Halloween. Although North West is known for making a fashion statement when she's seen in public, it appears that her mother decided to dress her in a more traditional look for the holiday. Kardashian took multiple photos of the toddler as she paraded around in the black and white skunk suit, which was complete with a long furry tail.

"A skunk is on the loose!" wrote Kardashian in one picture that shows North prancing across a black and white checker-boarded floor.

"My little stinker is waiting to show daddy her costume. Halloween has come early this morning," wrote the 34-year-old reality star in another photo.
