Magic Mike 2 Cast News: Magic Mike XXL Crew Gives Fans Chance to Be Extra
The cast of "Magic Mike XXL" are hop-scotching through different towns, performing for fans as they get a chance to be extras in the film. The crew hit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Wednesday.
The movie features a road trip from Tampa, Florida to Myrtle Beach for a stripper convention. The Boardwalk Resort welcomed the actors and film crew with a sign that read, "Welcome Stripper Con Happy 4th."
Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello teamed up to show off their six-pack abs again for "Magic Mike XXL."
Both Channing and Joe have received recognition for their athletic bodies. Manganiello was ranked Men's Health 100 Fittest Men of All Time, after building muscles for "True Blood" and "Magic Mike." Tatum received People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.
They'll show off their sexy abs and more in the sequel.
Other stars appearing in the film include, "So You Think You Dance" star Stephen "tWitch" Boss, Donald Glover, Michael Strahan, Elizabeth Banks, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Amber Heard.
Joe is preparing for the movie by sculpting his body with a combination of a low-carb diet and CrossFit workouts.
Joe even authored a book about his dedication to bodybuilding and to a high-protein, low-carb diet entitled "Evolution: The Cutting Edge Guide to Breaking Down Mental Walls and Building the Body You've Always Wanted," according to Inquisitr.
Channing is following a healthy eating lifestyle as well and CrossFit exercises.
Last month, fifteen lucky fans won a contest and got to see the cast dance on set in Savannah, Georgia while they served as extras.
Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first film, will be executive producer to the sequel.
Tatum, nice abs and all, will also step behind the scenes as one of the producers and has already written one of the scripts.
"Magic Mike XXL" will be in theaters July 1, 2015.
