Future Hot New Music 2014: 'Never Satisfied' featuring Drake [Listen]
A Drake-assisted track titled "Never Satisfied" briefly appears on Future's sophomore studio album "Honest" released back in April, failing to even make the 2-minute mark. However, producer Mike WiLL Made-It finally satisfied fans by sharing the extended cut via SoundCloud on Thursday.
The Atlanta emcee's bass-heavy song was completed with fresh additional hook and verse from the Toronto rapper. It opens with Astronaut Kid's signature auto-tuned singing, and Drizzy then jumps on the instrumental.
The full version of the rapper duo's collaborative track, in which Future complains about his hard-to-please women while Drake whines about never having enough money, is now 4 minutes and 20 seconds long.
Then why did the "Move That Dope" hitmaker put the unfinished song on "Honest?"
It is apparently all Drake's fault.
At the time of his album release, CRWN's Elliott Wilson asked him: "You got this 'Never Satisfied' record, but everyone's not satisfied, they're mad that that record's so short! Why's is so short?"
"When we did 'Never Satisfied,' we did 'Good Kush and Alcohol' and I ended up giving that to [Lil] Wayne [for his hit track 'Love Me']," Future explained. "And I was like, I'm gonna save 'Never Satisfied' for myself. Me and Drake, we did four records that night."
"We actually finished the whole entire song. But then we went on tour at the beginning of the year and I was about to turn my album in, he was like, 'Man I wanna save my verse, I don't like my verse,'" he added. "I was just like man, I couldn't do nothing about it."
