During a recent episode of "The Wendy Williams Show," "Live with Kelly & Michael" co-host Kelly Ripa revealed that her 13-year-old daughter, Lola, does not like her, E! News reports.

"No, I don't think she likes me, but I don't care," Ripa told Wendy Williams. "I'm like, 'I'm not your friend, I'm your mom. I'm not your friend.'"

Ripa's strained relationship with her daughter follows her decision to punish Lola for texting and posting on social media during study hours at home, Ripa explained.

"I walked into her room and she wasn't there," Ripa recalled, "but there was her phone and it's not supposed to be there during study hours. So I was like, 'let me just dial in her code' ... She knows I know her code, but she doesn't think I would ever abuse that privilege," she added.

Once Ripa realized that her daughter "broke the rules," she punished Lola by taking away her cell phone and computer.

"She recently lost her computer and phone privileges, so it's like taking away oxygen," Ripa added.

Ripa justified her punishment by explaining that she and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are "very fair parents and we will give you certain freedoms." However, the children are not allowed to break the rules or they will be punished. "That's not how it works," she continued.

In a separate interview with Williams, Consuelos also commented on Lola's recent attempt at breaking the rules.

"This might be a long one," Consuelos said about his daughter's punishment.

When asked to name a specific time frame for the duration of the punishment, Consuelos responded, "Indefinitely."

"I want to be mean and get her a flip phone," Consuelos added.

Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa have been married since 1996. They have 3 children Michael, 17, Joaquin, 11 and Lola, 13.
