On Tuesday, Khloé Kardashian set social media ablaze after she posted an Instagram meme of herself and her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian, referring to themselves as the KKK.

The meme, which has since been deleted from Khloé's Instagram account, features the sisters wearing all white alongside the meme caption that reads, "The only KKK to ever let black men in."

Although some social media users (including Khloé, of course) found the meme to be a funny joke about the African American men that the Kardashian girls have famously dated over the years, many social media users took offense to the KKK reference and slammed the reality star for her insensitive joke, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Perhaps one of the biggest social media users to oppose the Kardashian meme is Ebony magazine's senior digital editor, Jamilah Lemieux, Radar Online reports.

Lemieux took to Twitter to describe Khloé as a "trash bag" and slammed her for making light of the Ku Klux Klan, which has played a violent role against African Americans throughout history.

Although Khloé deleted her controversial KKK Instagram meme, her "Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons" co-star Scott Disick reposted the meme and has not deleted it. Disick even added a clarification to the meme post, noting that that the Kardashians have also "let in" Jewish people like himself.

A few hours after Khloé deleted her KKK meme, she Instagrammed another picture with the message that reads, "We're all equally f**ked up, some only hide it better."

HollywoodLife.com suggests that Khloé's second Instagram post following her KKK meme might have been her attempt at apologizing and excusing the joke.
