On Wednesday, authorities released some of the emergency-911 calls that were made following the fatal school shooting at the Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington State last month.

The calls shed light into the sheer panic and chaos that unleashed when 15-year-old Jaylen Fryberg opened fire in his school's lunchroom on Oct. 24, fatally shooting his cousin and three of his friends. He also shot his cousin Nate Hatch, 14, the only surviving victim of the rampage.

Officials said that the incident occurred after Fryberg sent a text message inviting his two cousins and three friends to meet him at the school cafeteria. As they were gathered around a lunch table, he used a .40 caliber Berretta to shoot them from behind, killing Zoe Galasso, 14, at the scene, Gia Soriano, who died in the hospital the following Sunday, Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, 14, who died on Oct. 31 and his cousin Andrew Fryberg, who died last Thursday. The shooter then shot and killed himself, reports Reuters.

"I'm in the cafeteria. I have the shooter, one shooter. Blood is everywhere. I do not see the gun. I have him down," first-year social studies teacher Megan Silberberger said to a dispatcher during her 911 call, according to NBC News.

Silberberger, who has been praised for trying to intervene in the shooting, also told police she "tried to stop him."

"He is a high school student. I do not know who he is. I tried to stop him before he shot himself. I do not know his name. He shot himself. He shot -- many are down. I do not know how many are down."

"Hello, I think there's been a shooting," a student said at the school to police, reports Reuters. "Like, just like, not even like, two minutes ago. Can you please come?"

The Snohomish County's regional emergency communications center also received calls from concerned parents, The Seattle Times reported.

"My daughter is not following lockdown directions, and she and other kids have run from their classroom," one mother told a dispatcher.

"She's away from her classroom right now. What advice can I give her?"
