MTV reality star Diem Brown died on Friday, Nov. 14, in New York City.

"The Challenge" star was diagnosed with cancer for the third time in August. It was found in her in her stomach and colon, and by October, it had spread to her liver and lymph nodes, according to PopSugar.

Brown was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 23 and then was diagnosed again in 2012. Throughout her time on various MTV reality shows, Brown talked openly about her fight with cancer. She founded MedGift so that others fighting illnesses could seek help.

"I want people to know that the fight is worth it," she said to People. "And that's something so important for me."

This week her friends and family came to New York to be by her side, and she asked her followers for their help.

"I NEED PRAyErs and advice my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won't & can't rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I'm grabbing!" she said on Twitter.

That positivity was one of the things that most ended up defining Brown. Any time she talked about fighting cancer, she would say that she was going to defeat it. Brown would also talk about all the things she wanted to accomplish.

She explained that having children and getting married was something she wanted. She said these kinds of goals were important to her because it meant "a long-term future."

In August, she was filming a reality competition when she collapsed. That's when she was once again diagnosed with cancer.

Brown and her on-again, off-again boy Chris "CT" Tamburello were set to star in "Battle of the Exes 2" in 2015, notes the International Business Times. The two were filming in Panama.

At first, CT reportedly stayed in Panama, but when he learned how serious it was, he left for New York.
