A big game in college football is less than 24 hours away. Mississippi State (9-0, 5-0 SEC) is college football's No. 1 ranked team -- for now.

That's because No. 4 Alabama (8-1, 5-1 SEC) could give them a big headache by beating them in this crucial game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Alabama Crimson Tide has not dropped a game since Oct. 4 and they were able to fend off No. 16 LSU last week in overtime.

Mississippi State is unbeaten but Saturday could shake up the standings as the season draws closer to an end. The Bulldogs have handled most teams except for a close call against LSU Sept. 20.

Oddsmakers are giving Alabama a six point spread over Mississippi and calling the Bulldogs the underdogs.

"Every article you read, everywhere you look, we're the big underdog in this game," Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen said. "We've done that before and we know that role. We'll be OK with that. Our guys will play with great effort and with a chip on our shoulder that we try to play with every week no matter what the rankings or what everyone else is predicting."

The Bulldogs have the best offense in the college football and the Crimson Tide has the best defense. Someone has to win this game though.

Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen knows his team might not have the notoriety that the Tide has but he is still confident they can win.

"They probably have more 5-star players sitting on the bench who can't get a rep than we have on our entire roster," Mullen said.

Tide coach Nick Saban says the game is a tough one, especially after barely surviving last week against LSU.

"...We just won a big game so we're supposed to get a week off, go to the golf resort," Saban said.

"It's the wrong time of the year," he said. "We have another tough game coming up."

Even though Saban is not too excited to face the No. 1 team in college football, it's a huge game for his team.

Who do you think will win? The Tide or the Bulldogs?
