The steamy bestseller, Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James is almost ready to begin filming for its screen adaptation after casting directors found their Anastasia Steele ( to be portrayed by Dakota Johnson) and Christian Grey (to be portrayed by Charlie Hunnam) this past month. But some fans of the novel are not happy.

Background on the book: Fifty Shades of Grey is the first installment of a three novel series about the passionate relationship between a young businessman, Christian Grey and a college graduate, Anastasia Steele. The novel features erotic scenes and a great deal of alternative sex play.

For most fans, the ruling that Johnson and Hunnam be selected to play the role of the sexy couple is ridiculous. Fans of the book scrutinized the cast selection for not being "hot enough," and conceived lists and mock posters, decorated with actors and actresses who they feel are better choices. Many fans have stated that they would love to see Alexis Bledel portraying the role of Anastasia, and Matt Bomer take on the role of Christian Grey.

Directors are confident that their choice pair will be able to translate the sexual tension and provocative nature from text to film. Hunnam agrees with directors.

"As soon as we got in the room and [I]started reading with Dakota, I knew that I definitely wanted to do it because there was a tangible chemistry between them," Hunnam said.

Dakota Johnson, who you might've seen on Fox's Ben and Kate, The Five-Year Engagement, The Social Network and The Social Network, has worked in the industry since she was ten years old. In addition to being an actress, she is a fashion model, and is the daughter of actors of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.

Charlie Hunnam, born in Newcastle, England, is becoming one of Hollywood's 'It' boys, and has impressive titles under his belt. He's played the role of Jackson 'Jax' Teller on Son of Anarchy, Raleigh Becket in Pacific Rim, Llyod Haythe on Undeclared and Nathan Maloney on Queer as Folk.

Fifty Shades of Grey is set to be released in August of next year and reportedly will be R-rated.
