Rihanna Hot New Album 2014: 10 Tracks Finished for Upcoming LP Record to Release Before 2015
Rihanna reportedly has 10 finished tracks ready for her highly anticipated eighth studio album.
Dash Radio's DJ Skee revealed on Friday that the Barbadian singer recently met up with her record label's bosses to debut her new music.
"The project is a lot closer than anyone realized, including her own record label," he said. "Last weekend in New York City, she took a couple Def Jam executives to a top secret location and played ten new records."
He then estimated the release date of the follow-up to "Unapologetic (2012)," expecting to be before the year's end.
"So, that means she's trying to put out a project to capitalize off the fourth quarter craziness," he said.
Also, RiRi apparently has a song titled "I've Been Searching for Something to Ignite Me," which can be one of her potential singles.
During a meet-and-greet with fans at Virginia's Fort Belvoir on Wednesday, the "Diamonds" singer remained coy about her upcoming record's release date.
"I can't give you any hints of when it will drop," she said (via The Associated Press). "It's going to be great, that's all I'm going to tell you and I'm excited about it."
She also told her fans she is always trying to better herself and her music, and because of which, she's excited for them to hear the new stuff.
"I try to battle myself and outdo everything I've done and that's been the hardest thing to do. You start overthinking things at times," she said. "I can't wait for everybody to hear [the music] little by little ... little by little. I can't wait."
Meanwhile, according to a supposed tracklist that was leaked online last month, Rihanna's latest project, which is titled "Lost Files," is set for a press release on Nov. 4 while the official release is Nov 25.
The forthcoming 14-track album is expected to include guest appearances from Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Eminem on the title track.
