'From Dusk Till Dawn' Actress Eiza Gonzalez Is in No Rush With Her Hollywood Career
Eiza Gonzalez may have already experienced some crossover success when she became Santanico Pandemonium in "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," but she is trying to take her time in Hollywood.
At the International Film Festival in Los Cabo, Mexico, the actress opened up about why she is taking things slowly.
"I'm not in a hurry," she said. "That's one of the biggest changes in my life. I am much more patient in the decisions I make. I like making the right choices not something reckless. I look for what really suits me and will make me grow as a person and actress. So that's what I am focused on."
On top of working on her TV show, Gonzalez has a movie, "Boneyard Canteen," slated for 2015.
And though she's becoming more visible in Hollywood, Gonzalez said she would definitely return to telenovelas if she found the right role.
Meanwhile, she will continue fighting for her chance in Hollywood.
"It's difficult everywhere," she said. "That's a reality. It's complicated in any job and in any place. the important thing is the motivation you have, the desire and hunger that you have, the determination and the discipline."
Gonzalez will be one of the many celebrities attending the 15th annual Latin Grammys. She will be presenting an award.
In keeping with Latino tradition, organizers want to celebrate the party in the same way that a girl would celebrate her 15th birthday. Therefore, organizers have already promised a special event.
"We're thinking about beginning the festivities on the day of the awards and continuing to celebrate them during the entire year up to the 16th anniversary," said Gabriel Abaroa Jr., the CEO and president of the academy. "Just a while ago, [the gala] was a little girl whom we were carrying and whose diapers we were changing, and suddenly 15 years is before us."
