Lorde recently took to her social media accounts to address the controversy surrounding two female celebrities who made headlines this week -- Kim Kardashian and her friend and singer, Taylor Swift.

Earlier this week, Lorde posted a Tumblr message to clarify her "mom" caption for the recently released images of Kim Kardashian's Paper Magazine photo shoot.

Lorde explained that her "mom" caption was not intended to slam Kardashian's nude photos, but rather to compliment her.

The New Zealand singer clarified that the term mom "jokingly means 'adopt me/be my second mom/i think of you as a mother figure you are so epic'" for kids in New Zealand.

Lorde then continued her Tumblr entry by complimenting Kim's beauty and praising photographer, Jean-Paul Goude for his work on Kardashian's Paper magazine spread.

"if anything i think she gets even more beautiful and sexy all the time like a fineass wine, and of course has every right to showcase that," Lorde described Kardashian.

She continued, "i am the biggest fan of jean-paul goude and of grace jones, as you know, and there's no way i could support one and not the other you know?"

Lorde then concluded her Tumblr message by describing Kardashian as "pure heaven."

Kardashian has yet to respond to Lorde's Tumblr post.

In addition to defending Kardashian's Paper Mag cover, Lorde also defended Taylor Swift, who was recently slammed by Katy Perry's boyfriend, Diplo, CNN reports.

On Wednesday, the DJ/producer took to Twitter to make fun of Swift's "booty."
