Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Game Release Showdown & Preview: Two More Games Coming Friday
"Pokemon" has been around for quite a while. The game has not lost its popularity and the proof is in Friday's release of two more "Pokemon" games: "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" for the Nintendo 3DS.
The premise of "Pokemon" is pretty simple: collect all the little creatures you can, fight battles, and watch out for evildoers in the process.
In the two newest games set to be released this Friday, you will do the same thing and have fun doing it.
Back in 2003, "Pokemon Sapphire" and "Ruby" appeared on the Gameboy Advance. Now 11 years later, they get some graphics refreshers.
Other than a little bit of 3D in the battle scenes, these two new games retain their classic features from 2003. Other than the small amount of 3D, the game is pretty much the same 2D classic "Pokemon" you have become accustomed to over the years.
There is a new GPS-like featured called DexNav. This is good for when you notice a "Pokemon" rustling in the bushes. Instead of going over to it and finding out it is one that you already have, the DexNav will zoom in on the bushes and show you which Pokemon it is and whether or not it's worth going over to look at.
Maybe it is a "Pokemon" that you already have but maybe it has special moves or features that you need. DexNav will tell you that information and let you make the decision on going and getting it.
The new games are available in your choice or version: "Ruby" or "Sapphire." It depends on which one you like better. They will both cost you about $40.
"Pokemon" definitely has a cult following going all the way back to the original Gameboy. Initial reviews on the games are four stars (out of 5) from GamesRadar and a 7.8 (out of ten) from IGN.com.
