During a recent interview with Extra TV's Mario Lopez, actress Katherine Heigl issued an apology to her former boss Shonda Rhimes, who recently slammed Heigl for her "nasty" behavior on the set of her show "Grey's Anatomy."

The New York Daily News reports that last month, Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter that her cast on "Scandal" is nothing like Heigl, whom she previously worked with on her ABC show, "Grey's Anatomy."

"There are no Heigls in this situation," Rhimes said about her "Scandal." "I don't put up with b------t or nasty people. I don't have time for it."

Although Heigl previously addressed Rhimes' jab during a recent Facebook Q&A to promote her latest TV show, "State of Affairs," the 35-year-old actress has decided to speak out again to Extra about her diva reputation and Rhimes' allegations.

"The only way for me to prove it wrong is for people to have a work experience with me that doesn't speak to that at all," Heigl told Lopez.

Heigl then issued an apology to Rhimes and wished the 44-year-old writer and producer the best in her future endeavors.

"For me it sucks, I am sorry that she feels that way," Heigl said. "I wish her nothing but greatness. I have nothing negative to say about Shonda. I am a big fan of her work."

Although Rhimes has yet to respond to to Heigl's apology, Heigl claims that she continues to watch Rhimes' hit show "Scandal" every week and hopes to rebuild a working relationship with Rhimes in the future.

"I'm sorry she is left with such a crappy impression of me," the actress said. "I wish I could do something to change that. Maybe I will be able to someday."
