The first official trailer for the 2015 CGI-animated "Peanuts" movie was released Tuesday. The new look of the beloved Charlie Brown and company initially had people worried, but the trailer has seemed to calm many of critics' fears.

20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios rolled out the two-minute clip, which gives a look into the world of Charles Schulz's characters. The only other materials previously released from the film studio was a teaser trailer put out in March.

CNN reports that the new trailer wasn't due to be unveiled until Thanksgiving Day but has been leaked online early.

Luckily, the slip has fans buzzing in praise that despite the new look of Snoopy and his friends, the "Peanuts" movie appears to follow similar themes and character styles of the nostalgic kids crew. Even the familiar theme song and humor is intact from the comics and holiday cartoon films.

The "Peanuts" comic was first introduced by Schulz back in 1950, and his family's involvement in creating the 2015 iteration of his characters on screen was one of the ways moviemakers tried to keep the spirit of his work instilled in the film.

"Our No. 1 goal was always to be authentic to [Schulz's] work and legacy," his son, Craig Schulz, told USA Today in March. "I'm way more protective than my father would have been. The fans have been asking for a long time, but we held off until the time was right."

Craig Schulz co-wrote the "Peanuts" script with his son Bryan and Bryan's screenwriting partner Cornelius Uliano.

Director Steve Martino, who is familiar with leading children's movies from his work on "Horton Hears a Who" and "Ice Age: Continental Drift," will be at the helm of the movie's production.

Filmmaker and actor Paul Feig is producing.

"Snoopy will not be rapping, no one will be twerking," Feig joked in previous interviews when asked how the "Peanuts" film will be brought to younger generations. "We're in good hands."
