People's Sexiest Man Alive 2014 Winner: 'Thor' Star Chris Hemsworth and Wife Elsa Pataky Think the Title is 'Pretty Funny' [Watch]
Chris Hemsworth is the 2014 Sexiest Man Alive, according to People.
The Australian actor revealed the news on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
Kimmel got his audience involved in the reveal by having them play 20 Questions with Hemsworth, whose face was hidden.
Hemsworth then used Skype to phone in and revealed that one man taught him how to be sexy.
"I learned everything there is about being sexy from Matt [Damon]," he said, joking. "Thank you Matt and all the previous intelligent men."
Hemsworth said that his younger brother, Liam Hemsworth, has been a good sport about his win.
"He's been a real team player for this one," he said. "We've been throwing sexy looks back and forth all week."
Hemsworth also didn't forget to thank his parents for "putting this together," he said as he pointed to his body.
Hemsworth has reacted to his new title by joking about it, E! News reports. He said he hopes that now he can get out of doing work around the house and wants to tell his wife, Elsa Pataky, that he doesn't "need to do the dishes anymore."
Hemsworth, who is now 31, added that he hit his peak a few years ago.
"You're a couple years too late," he said. "I hit my peak a few years ago. I'm on the decline now, so I'm not sure if I still deserve it, but thank you."
"The Avengers" star said he and Pataky both thought it was "pretty funny" when they heard the news.
The now-movie star got his start in soap operas. His first role was on an Australian soap opera, "Home and Away," which he landed in 2002, notes CNN.
He and his brother have only ever been up for the same role once when they both auditioned for Thor.
