Chris Brown Hot New Music 2014: Pitbull Releases 'Fun' Featuring Chris Brown [Listen]
Well-known party lovers Pitbull and Chris Brown have teamed up for a club-friendly track appropriately titled "Fun."
The Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine-inspired song, which was actually released on Wednesday, opens up with the "Loyal" hitmaker's Michael Jackson-like vocal over Latin (salsa) rhythm and energetic percussion nicely blended with EDM.
"Oh, feeling crazy / The moon is up, the night is hazy / Let's get lost in the shadows / Somewhere we can go / And no one else can find," he sings before eventually building up to the hook, "Lose 'em everybody baby come undone."
"Oh my, my, looking like a good, good time / Don't disguise the way you wanna love tonight," he continues.
Mr. Worldwide then offers a quick verse in his usual rapping style on the track that reminds of the Cuban-influenced 1985 throwback hit "Conga," while name checking Enrique Iglesias and boasting about his fabulous five-star lifestyle.
On the same night, the duo that previously worked together on 2011 hit "International Love" joined Wisin on stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, as part of the 15th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. They gave a performance of "Control" off the Puerto Rican reggaeton artist's sophomore record "El Regreso del Sobreviviente."
"Fun" is off the Miami chart-topper's upcoming eighth studio album "Globalization," which is set for a release on Nov. 24 via RCA Records. His 11-track project will feature already released singles like "Wild Wild Love" and "Fireball," as well as the collaborations from various artists, including Jennifer Lopez (on "We Are One," "On the Floor" and "Booty), Ne-Yo (on "Time of Our Lives"), Jason DeRulo, Dr. Luke, Claudia Leitte, G.R.L. and Bebe Rexha among others.
