In another chapter of their classic NFC East rivalry, the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys will play each other on Sunday.

These two teams have had a storied rivalry with one another for decades.

Even though the Giants aren't having a very good season, you can never overlook road division games, as we saw with the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders on Thursday Night Football. Football fans are used to seeing these teams play each other on nationally televised games annually.

Let's see who has the advantage in this game:

Dallas Cowboys (7-3)

The Cowboys are 7-3 this season with a 1-1 divisional record in the NFC East. The Cowboys have been the best road team in the NFL this season with a perfect 4-0 record. Playing away from Texas hasn't had any negative effects on this football team. The Philadelphia Eagles are tied with the Cowboys at 7-3 in the NFC East, and they have yet to play each other.

The Cowboys have been riding running back DeMarco Murray all season long. Murray leads the entire league in rushing yards with 1,233, and it's a contract year for him. Fumbles have been an issue for the young running back, but Murray still has seven rushing touchdowns this season.

Quarterback Tony Romo (who had offseason back surgery) has been battling injuries this year, but he has played very well when protected. Romo has 18 touchdowns to just six interceptions this season and a 107.2 passer rating. Dez Bryant and Jason Witten have been Romo's favorite targets this year, but Terrance Williams has emerged as a very reliable wide receiver for the Cowboys this year.

Perhaps the biggest surprise has been the Cowboys' defense. Last season, the Cowboys had the worst defense in the league, and the third worst in NFL history. So far this season the Cowboys' defensive unit ranks 15th in yards against and 10th in points allowed. Much of this is because the Cowboys are finally running the ball and controlling the clock, but this Cowboys squad is still getting important stops.

The Cowboys' offensive line, led by Tyron Smith, is considered the best in the NFL this season.

New York Giants (3-7)

The Giants have fallen short of expectations for the third consecutive season. Despite adding key free agents such as Quintin Demps and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, the Giants defense isn't showing any signs of improvements. At 3-7, and a possibility of missing the postseason for a fifth time in the last six seasons, head coach Tom Coughlin is on the hot seat.

The Giants have lost their last five consecutive games and haven't beat a single team with a winning record this year.

The Giants have had the most disappointing defense in the NFL, which ranks 31st overall. This Giants defense doesn't remotely resemble the Super Bowl-winning squads with Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora.

Eli Manning has 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this year, but five of those interceptions came last week against the San Francisco 49ers. Running back Rashad Jennings has been battling injuries this year, but he will play against the Cowboys Sunday night. With Victor Cruz out for the season with a torn tendon, Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle are now the key targets for Manning.

There's a good chance the Giants will blitz quite a bit in this game, as it is somewhat effective against the Cowboys.

Schedule, Where to Watch

The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys will play each other on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC. The game will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. You can view a live game stream here.

Predictions

There's a good chance this will be a high-scoring game between the Cowboys and Giants. Statistics and the "eye test" say the Cowboys should win in a blowout, but this is an NFC East game. We've seen Romo and Manning go head to head in many high-scoring battles in the past. In the end, Murray will make the difference.

Cowboys win 35-31
