New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made headlines on Sunday night with his amazing catch in their 31-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Beckham made a one-handed leaping catch while falling backward into the end zone, eluding Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr, to score a touchdown, which gave the Giants a 14-3 early lead.

Beckham's breathtaking catch is now being labelled as the "catch of the year" with some fans saying that it could be one of the best catches of all time. The rookie wide receiver said, though, that he is hoping that he could have another excellent catch, coupled with a victory for his team.

"I hope it's not the greatest catch of all time. I hope I can make more," said Beckham, who had 10 catches for 146 yards on Sunday night. "It really means nothing without a win. We still go home at the end of the day with a loss. That's not fulfilling."

But while Beckham was not too fulfilled with his performance on Sunday night, Giants quarterback Eli Manning had nothing but praises for one of his favorite targets, saying that the 22-year-old has been doing such one-handed catches in practices and pre-game warm ups.

"I knew he caught it," Manning said of Beckham's catch. "I could see. He does that, he practices that one-handed snag. He's got big hands and great concentration and he can make those plays. That was a pretty great one."

Giants defense end Mathias Kiwanuka also praised Beckham for his highlight catch, and also added that the former LSU standout could become one of the best players of all time if he will be able to stay healthy for his entire career.

"As long as he stays healthy he could potentially be one of the greatest to ever play the game," Kiwanuka told NJ.com. "It's an honor and a pleasure to be a part of it. You obviously don't want to jinx anybody this early in his career, but it's something that you've gotta show respect for."
