NBA 2K14 Roster & Player Ratings: Basketball Rookies Guess Their Own Ratings in Latest Game Release
Lance Fresh from The Bleacher Report caught up with the newest NBA rookies to talk about the new NBA 2K14 video game, but more specifically, he asked the players to measure themselves
In a series of video interviews, Fresh asked them what they thought their overalls were in the hyped up NBA video game that was just released earlier this week. Naturally, most rookies start with low overall ratings so it was almost as if it would be easy answers. However, some of the players were thinking a bit ahead of themselves in terms of their ratings.
Glenn Rice, Jr., who plays for the Washington Wizards, had an overall rating of 66 but he told Fresh that he guessed he would have had a 82.
"I'd settle for an 82, but if I'm not an 82 then they might as well get rid of me," he joked.
Nerlens Noel, who is recovering from a painful injury he suffered last year in college ball, predicted a little more realistically. He said he expected to have an overall rating somewhere in the range of 75 to 80 when actually his overall rating is 72. Still, not bad for a rookie.
The game has received mostly positive reviews since its release earlier this week. Ryan McCaffery at IGN gave the game a 9.3 rating and gave credit for its gameplay.
"With just enough features, and tighter-than-ever gameplay, NBA 2K14 tops its predecessors and competitors again," McCaffery said.
Gamers will also be able to enjoy NBA 2K14 on the Xbox One and PS4 consoles when they go on sale in November.
