A shooting Monday morning in West Virginia has led to the deaths of four people.

The gunman was identified later that day and was subsequently found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police have not released a motive.

Between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday morning, 39-year-old Jody Lee Hunt shot killed four people throughout Monongalia County in West Virginia, according to the Associated Press. In three separate shootings, he shot two people in Westover and one in Cheat Lake, police said.

After searching for hours for Hunt, police found his truck at around 7 p.m. Hunt was dead inside.

Three of the four victims have been identified as Sharon Kay Berkshire, 39, of Westover; Michael David Frum, 28, of Maidsville; and Doug Brady. Monongalia Circuit Court documents show Berkshire had filed a domestic violence case against Hunt.

Before the shooting spree, Hunt had posted on Facebook that his girlfriend had cheated on him with several men, prompting police to deduce his actions were not random, KDVA and the AP reported.

"We do have some idea of a motive, it was not random acts of violence," Lt. Michael Baylous of the West Virginia State Police said.

On Facebook he thanked his friends who stood by him and said he wanted to hurt those who hurt him.

"I poured out my hear to her only to be manipulated as to what I could give her. Relationships are not a game. Love is not a game. One's heart is not a game," Hunt wrote on the post.

The fourth victim has been identified as Jody Taylor. According to Reuters, the schools in the county were shutdown.

According to WDTV, Brady owned Doug's Towing, which is located down the street from Hunt's J&J Towing and Repair. Police are still investigating the causes for Hunt's killing spree.
