Jenni Rivera's family continue to celebrate the singer's life. On Dec. 7, the Riveras will hosti Jenni Vive 2014, a free concert in tribute to Jenni.

The event will take place at 8:30 p.m. in Los Angeles at Christmas Land, which will be in front of the Nokia Theater.

Chiquis Rivera, Jenni's daughter, shared a message with her fans on Facebook, where she said that this year would bring new things.

"This year will be different," she said. "More intimate, but always remembering our #DivadelaBanda, my mother #JenniRivera, with much affection, love and respect!"

Chiquis' post also included an image focusing on the five scholarships that will be given out by Jenni's children during the Los Angeles event. The image adds that those who are going out for the scholarships do not have to attend the event.

Chiquis' message also linked to the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation website, which explains why the scholarships exist.

"Jenni Rivera was a great woman who fought day to day to improve things for her family, to accomplish her dreams and goals," according to the site. "She had many stumbles in her life, but she always managed to lift herself and keep moving forward. She was a great human being, characterized by her nobleness and simplicity. On top of being the most recognized singer of the regional Mexican genre, Jenni Rivera had a great heart, which she was used to help others."

The concert will take place two days before the anniversary of Jenni's death.

Recently, her brother, Lupillo Rivera, opened up about what he plans to do on that day. On his radio show, "De Farra Con Lupillo," he said he is going to play Jenni's music for four hours. He will also air interviews and include other surprises on a day that he has trouble dealing with.

"Every day is difficult," he said. "But the 9th [of December] stings more."
