Americans are discovering new ways to stay healthy, and making juice and smoothies is a great way to do that.

The only problem for many Americans is trying to get these healthy ingrreidents all mixed together and chopped up. The Ninja Blender claims to chop up everything, but is it worth it?

There are several Ninja blenders actually, each varying in size and cost. Some work better than others, but Ninja's best offering is the Ninja Professional Blender (BL660) ($109, Amazon.com).

The BL660 crushes ice, entire pieces of fruit and vegetables and much more. That's because it has the technology and durability to withstand heavy crushing.

Thanks to the way that the BL6660 blends, valuable vitamins and nutrients will go right into a coomer's cup.

Besides smoothies and juces, Ninja blenders can make salsas and soups. Of course, the fresher the ingredients, the better the users' salsa or soup will turn out.

The huge blender gives users plenty of serving room for their creations. It's a 72-ounce pitcher. That means over three 20 oz. glasses can be poured.

Buyers on Amazon are mostly giving this blender a five (out of five). Some are even comparing it to premium blenders such as Vitamix and Blendtec.

"The thing that really sold me on this blender was simply the fact that it could handle ice like it's nothing at all (it can quite literally turn ice into snow in a matter of seconds) and even though I wanted a Vitamix, I just couldn't justify spending $400+ if this blender could do what we wanted it to do," J.M. reviewed on Amazon.

The blender is in the $100-$200 range, but it acts like a $400 blender. Depending on customers' preferences, a Ninja Blender could replace their daily stop at a smoothie shope.
