'Today' Show Host Jenna Bush Explains What 'Hanky Panky' in the White House With Husband Henry Hager Entailed
Wednesday's episode of Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" featured former first kid and current "Today" show correspondent Jenna Bush, who shared her opinion on the current first children, Sasha and Malia Obama, and her private moments in the White House.
E! News reports Bush described the Obama girls, who were recently criticized by former GOP aide Elizabeth Lauten, as "great girls" and revealed that she is "fiercely protective" of them.
Bush also praised Sasha and Malia for doing an "incredible job" as first kids in a time where social media is now more pertinent than ever.
Following her discussion on the Obama girls, Bush was asked by a "WWHL" fan whether she ever "fooled around" in the White House during her father Former U.S. President George W. Bush's presidency.
"Listen, a lady never talks," Bush responded.
After a moment, Bush reconsidered her answer.
"Maybe there was a little hanky-panky ... maybe like a kiss on the roof," she replied.
Although Bush appeared playful in her response, her "hanky pinky" comments created a frenzy among fans who assumed that Bush had done more than just kiss in the White House.
However, Bush later put the assumptions to rest after she clarified on the "Today" show that she and her husband, Henry Hager, only kissed in the White House.
"My husband and I did have our first kiss on the White House roof," she clarified. "It's not that the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' [moment] people want it to be," Bush said. "Pretty innocent, but really lovely."
Bush then joked on her use of the dated term "hanky panky."
"I think I single-handedly brought back the word hanky-panky," she said.
Bush also insisted that there was no "heavy petting" going on.
