Amanda Bynes Twitter Account Update: Actress Shares New Selfie Showing Her Slender Figure
Amanda Bynes took a hiatus from Twitter starting Nov. 11, likely at the advice of her attorney and guardians following recent bad press--namely, that she was recorded by a former roommate threatening to slit her mother's wrists and her father's throat.
The troubled actress has also had to cope with her parents seeking to hand over the conservatorship of her to a mental health professional before they move to Texas.
The 28-year-old surprised everyone Saturday when she resurfaced on Twitter sharing a positive message and a selfie that shows her with blonde hair and a more slender physique, reports Yahoo Celebrity.
Bynes, who had recently tried out lilac hair color, is pictured in the dressing room of a store, modeling a black, white, yellow and gray pencil skirt and crop top with the caption: "I'm loving Boutique Jules!" The outfit displays her tiny waistline. The "Easy A" star, who has been obsessed with her weight over recent years, appears much healthier.
The one-time "Hairspray" starlet was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and manic depression in late 2013. Since then, the press has closely followed her battle with mental illness. One incident in early November, she was photographed sleeping on a couch outside Bloomingdales in Los Angeles. Bynes said on Twitter that she had to because her parents were withholding money from her.
It is nice to see Bynes in a better place physically and mentally. And there is more good news.
Perez Hilton reports that Bynes was seen by a group of women at the Glendale Hilton, outside of Los Angeles, on Saturday morning. The ladies took pictures of Bynes and described the encounter to Perez Hilton, saying: "She was walking around outside on the grass area and she wasn't rude at all! She saw us taking pics of her and was friendly about it."
