Colombian Esperanza Gomez is one of the most recognized names in the porn industry. The 33-year-old star recently posed nude for SoHo Colombia, where she also opened up about the success she has earned, notes La República.

"It's gone well for me because a Latina woman arrived, and Latinas catch on in the United States," she said. "But also because of the way I am. I am a very natural, very uninhibited when I am working, and they have liked that."

Gomez said that unlike other women, she did not get into this industry because she needed money. She loves the industry, which sets her apart from other women who don't, she added.

"When I am shooting a scene, I am not faking what I am doing," she said. "What you're going to see is real. It's not that the director is telling me what to do ... The only acting comes at the beginning of a movie."

It's not the first time Gomez has been so open about her career. As a matter of fact, her openness has also helped make her popular.

Gomez has previously said that a pornographic magazine is what got her interested in the industry. She thought it "was beautiful to admire the naked body in the middle of a sexual act" and revealed that her husband helped her get ready to become an adult actress.

Gomez said that though pornography is her job, it is also her hobby.

"I don't do it to earn money," she said. "It's my hobby, just like people who like to sing or dance. Porn is my passion."

Instead of using porn as a stepping stone to more acting, Gomez left telenovelas to be in adult movies. Earlier this year, she admitted that working on telenovelas made her feel uncomfortable.
