There will be a huge death in the mid-season fall finale of "The Vampire Diaries" this Thursday.

In the upcoming episode, titled "Christmas Through Your Eyes," Bonnie will spend the holiday all alone since Damon and Elena failed to save her when they traveled back in time. Caroline will also have a not-so-great Christmas since all the drama will prevent her from hosting her traditional festive holiday party. In addition, Luke and Liv will have to fight for their lives, while Matt will go off the deep end.

According to TVD star Paul Wesley, fans should also prepare for a heartbreaking death in the all-new episode.

"Dude, there's always deaths, there is a big one coming up, I will say that, there is a big one that's really going to break the people's hearts," he warned, according to E! News.

When asked if fans can expect Stefan and Caroline to finally hook up, he replied saying: "There's some beautiful moments and I do think ultimately that something will happen. It's just a slow burn," he said.

Executive producer Caroline Dries also dropped hints about what's to come for the couple, telling TVLine that the two will bond over unfortunate news.

"Their friendship has been through a lot this season, and [Stefan] decides that not only does Caroline need to learn something she doesn't want to learn, but that he's the one who should tell her the news," said Dries. "What we'll come to see in the next few episodes is that their relationship will be shaped by this."

The EP added that Stefan will "earn Caroline back as a friend and their relationship will become a little more dynamic and interesting and layered."

Meanwhile, there will be a major change over the next few episodes as Bonnie "become more of a bada--s" in 2015, after suffering from a sucky Christmas.

"Bonnie, who's one of the strongest women on our show, will prove that she's not going to be down in the dumps," Dries explains. "She tries to make the best of things, and it will help shape her into the character she's going to become starting in the 2015 episodes, where she's going to harden a little bit."

According to Hypable.com, the synopsis for The Vampire Diaries fall finale reads:

"With the holidays approaching, Bonnie attempts to replicate her favorite traditions, while reminiscing about happier times with her friends. Not able to return home to Mystic Falls for her favorite time of the year, Caroline is surprised when Sheriff Forbes brings the holidays to her at Whitmore College. Meanwhile, after discovering that Jo has gone missing, Alaric turns to Damon and Elena for help, while Liv and Luke find themselves at odds when Tyler approaches them with a risky plan. Elsewhere, Jeremy helps Matt carry out a plan to take down Enzo but grows concerned when Matt takes things too far. Lastly, Stefan is forced to break some devastating news to Caroline."

Season 6 Episode 10, titled "Christmas Through Your Eyes," will premiere on "The Vampire Diaries" on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
