Kerry Washington Allegedly Separated From Husband Nnamdi Asomugha
Kerry Washington's year-long marriage to NFL player, Nnamdi Asomugha is allegedly on the rocks, according to OK! Magazine.
An OK! Magazine source claims that the newlywed couple "spend very little time" together despite the recent birth of their 7-month-old daughter, Isabelle.
Though Washington has revealed publicly that she is not one to openly show-off or talk about her personal life, Music Times notes that Washington have gone as far as avoiding red carpet appearances with her husband and missing out on birthdays just to maintain privacy.
The lack of appearances together have led many to believe that there might be tension between the two, Music Times adds.
Washington opened up about her decision to keep things private in her relationship during a past interview for Glamour, International Business Times reports.
IBT reports that Washington was previously engaged to actor David Moscow. Following the end of her engagement to Moscow, Washington made the decision to keep things private in her current relationship with Asomugha, she explained to Glamour.
"I learned through experience that it doesn't work for me to talk about my personal life," she explained. "I couldn't just turn around and say, 'I only want to talk about the good stuff, not the bad stuff'. So I just thought, 'OK, no more'."
She added, ""I'm walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you. But I'm going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold."
Though Washington has not spoken publicly about her personal life, her "Scandal" co-stars did share some details about her daughter, Isabelle.
"Yes I have met the delectable Isabelle," Tony Goldwyn told E! News back in September. "Her DNA is really good and she's just the cutest."
Bellamy Young echoed Goldwyn's excitement and compared Washington's daughter to Buddha, saying, "You hold that baby and it calms you down. There is nothing annoying about that presence."
