NHL action is starting to heat up. Teams are starting to distance themselves from each other as they get closer to the half-way mark of the season. It's clear who the favorites are for this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs. In order to keep up, EA Sports' "NHL 2015," game updates its rosters and content periodically.

The last "NHL 2015" update was done on Oct. 23, but roster updates are more frequent. In fact, there was one done on Wednesday. To take advantage, you will have to go into your game's options and ask for the updates. Current lineups should be as accurate as the real rosters in the NHL, AHL and other leagues.

EA Sports is creating some "dream teams" called Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) every week. This week the team includes:

Forwards:

Chris Conner (Hershey Bears)

Pavel Datsyuk (Detroit Red Wings)

Max Domi (London Knights)

Nick Foligno (Columbus Blue Jackets)

Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim Ducks)

Martin Hanzal (Arizona Coyotes)

Per Ledin (Lulea)

Connor Rankin (Calgary Hitmen)

Cal O'Reilly (Utica Comets)

Joey Ratelle (Drummondville Voltigeurs)

Mike Santorelli (Toronto Maple Leafs)

Tommy Wingels (San Jose Sharks)

Defensemen:

John Carlson (Washington Capitals)

Aaron Ekblad (Florida Panthers)

Stefan Elliott (Lake Erie Monsters)

Radko Gudas (Tampa Bay Lightning)

Tristan Pomerleau (Victoriaville Tigres)

Mark Stuart (Winnipeg Jets)

Of course, not all these players are in the NHL. EA Sports probably has a strong suspicion that they soon will be though.

Take Stefan Elliott: He's a young guy (23 years old) who was drafted way back in 2009 by the Colorado Avalanche. He hasn't played a game for them since the 2011-12 season, but it only takes one injury and he could be back on the team.

If you're looking to start a franchise, don't be afraid to start some of these AHL guys. They're just as good as, if not better than, some of the NHLers.
