Maite Perroni Relationship News: 'La Malquerida' Star Mane de la Parra Takes Blame for his Breakup with Perroni
Mane de la Parra was recently a guest on "Despierta America" when he was asked to talk about ex-girlfriend Maite Perroni.
De la Parra excitedly told the audience that Perroni would be an upcoming guest on the TV show.
"Tomorrow the super pretty, unique, incomparable, my very dear Maite Perroni will be on the show," he said.
The actor and singer continued to say that he really cared for his ex-girlfriend and that the two are still good friends.
He was then asked by the hosts to give more information as to why the two ended their relationship in 2012.
"The hour of confession," he said, before jokingly asking the cameras to be turned off. "It was possibly more my fault, but you learn through your mistakes, as they say."
He added that the good thing is that the two can continue to be friends, and he was happy that she was being so successful. In 2014, Perroni had her debut album, "Eclipse de Luna," and a new telenovela, "La Gata."
"She deserves it," he said. "She's a great woman."
In 2012, People En Español reported, the two announced their breakup on Twitter.
The two had dated for two years, and there were plenty of rumors that their breakup was imminent.
De la Parra said on Twitter, "@maiteoficial and I say goodbye with love to the time we have spend together and now each will go on his or her own path. We thank you in advance for your respect and support."
During a photoshoot for Estilo DF, "El Gordo Y La Flaca" caught up with Perroni. She talked about how good 2014 had been to her, and took the time to talk about her current boyfriend, Koko Stambuk.
"I have the great fortune and luck to share my life with a man who I love and who I respect very much, and who has given men so many beautiful memories," she said.
Perroni added that in the past she has struggled with relationships because she wasn't able to forgive.
