Solange Knowles Net Worth: Beyonce's Sister Owes Thousands in Taxes While Father Matthew Is Selling Daughters' Souvenirs for Extra Cash?
While Beyoncé was recently shopping for $70 million homes with rapper hubby, her sister Solange Knowles reportedly owes over $55,000 in back taxes.
TMZ reported that the newly wed is being slammed by the taxman, who filed a tax lien just three days after her wedding.
In the meantime, Beyoncé's dad isreportedly holding a massive garage sale to pawn off some souvenirs from the former Destiny's Child member's career while also selling some of Solange's things. Apparently he is having some money issues as well.
Beyoncé posters are on sale for $200, while some of Solange's music CDs are almost $2. Old tour books are on sale for $20, and Mathew Knowles is also selling clothes from the House of Dereon clothing line and old office furniture.
The back taxes that Solange owes are from the years 2010 to 2012, Inquisitr reported.
It is not clear what lead to Solange's tax issues, but reports say Mathew owes money in paternity and child support suits with all of his baby mothers.
Mathew and Tina Knowles, the Knowles sister's mother, split after he cheated on her and impregnated another woman back in 2009. Two years after, Beyoncé fired her father from being her manager.
"It was hard for me to let her go -- it was hard for both of us to let each other go, and let's be clear on that," he told The Sun in 2013 according to Huffington Post. "She didn't let me go, we both let each other go. That's a big difference."
Earlier this year, leaked footage of an elevator fight between Solange and Beyoncé's husband Jay Z went viral. The video was the first sign that the "Flawless" singer's life was not perfect and led to rumors that there are major problems in her marriage and perhaps a divorce on the way.
Solange's net worth isreportedly $5 million, while Beyoncé's is said to be at $450 million. When combined with her husband's income, Beyoncé and Jay Z's net worth is reportedly $1 billion.
