Eva Mendes' Clothing Line for New York & Company Launches
Eva Mendes, a woman with true style and effortless beauty, has partnered up with New York & Company to showcase a collection of affordable eternally classic, vibrant, and romantic pieces.
The Girl in Progress star has designed a modest and modern, yet vintage, set of items, each piece crafted with the intention of complimenting the bodies of the everyday woman. The collection features splashy tunics, polished black dresses, elegant overcoats, playful shirt-dresses, sophisticated blouses, neat button-downs and sweaters, and trendy accessories.
"The challenging part of this process was knowing that I had women, especially my sisters, counting on me to make them look good," Eva said. "I take this very seriously. There isn't a piece in my collection that I won't wear. I can't wait to get feedback from women about what works for them and what doesn't. I hope I don't disappoint them!" Mendes said at the launch of her clothing line.
The Cuban fashionista, 39, has sampled different industries while in Hollywood. Aside from being featured in Hollywood hits such as All About The Benjamins, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, We Own the Night and Girl in Progress, she's also done modeling work for Calvin Klein, Magnum, and Reebok; she's recorded a version of "The Windmills of Your Mind" and performed a duet with Cee Lo Green; and, with her former long-term partner George Augusto, Mendes runs a décor line by name of Vida. She also has a line of bed linens and dinnerware available at Macy's.
Eva Mendes' New York & Company collection includes sizes zero to 18, and is priced from $55 to $80.
