'The Sims 4' Cheats and Codes: Commands Help Players Forget Money Woes, Cheat Death
"The Sims 4" undoubtedly ranks among the great 2014 success stories for Electronic Arts. The American video game house published the fourth installment of its traditional life-simulation series on Sept. 2, and the game has enjoyed great popularity ever since.
Many players are happy to help their Sims navigate the virtual challenges the game throws them; but just as in real life, sometimes it is helpful (or even fun) to cut a corner. Thankfully, the Sims developers have included a great number of cheats that give you special powers - from the useful to the enjoyable to the downright funny and morbid.
SimsGlobe has compiled some of the most popular of those commands. To use any of the cheats available, players need to hold down the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "C" keys at the same time. A box will open up, and once you type in the magic phrase, all kinds of wonders will happen. Here are some of the highlights:
-
It's hard enough to deal with mortality in real life, so would it not be nice if we could protect our Sims and have them live forever? Your wish is the game's command, and if you type in "death.toggle," the Grim Reaper will be vanished from your virtual paradise: No Sim will die in the game.
-
Taking care of one's finances can be a challenge, especially because there are so many beautiful plots to be bought and houses to be built in "The Sims 4." If you are in need of a little cash injection, try the commands "rosebud" and "kaching," which will add 1,000 Simoleons to your account. If you are a bit of a big spender, skip those and go directly with "motherlode": This cheat will get you a whopping 50,000 Simoleons.
-
Purchasing a home is usually the most hefty expense a person faces - both in real life and in the Sims. So if all that cash still is not enough for the mansion you envisioned, the solution is called "freeRealEstate on." With this command, your dream house will cost you absolutely nothing.
