"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, Porsha Williams was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license on Monday, Dec. 29, TMZ reports.

WIlliams was allegedly pulled over by police and cuffed after she was caught speeding 78 mph in a 55 mph zone, according to TMZ.

Fortunately for Williams, her jail stint was brief as she quickly posted $1,726 to bond out that same day.

Us Weekly reports that Williams later explained her reasoning for speeding during a recent episode of Dish Nation.

Williams revealed that at the time she was pulled over, she was rushing to visit her grandfather who is in the hospital with cancer.

"I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused," she explained.

She added: "Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, [and] I have my license, my car, and my freedom."

According to Us Weekly, this is Williams' second arrest this year. The 33-year-old reality-TV star was arrested back in April on a misdemeanor battery charge following her physical blowout with Kenya Moore on the set of the "RHOA" reunion taping.

Following the physical lash out between Williams and Moore, "RHOA" producer, Andy Cohen weighed in on the incident on an episode of "Ask Andy."

"It was such a flash," he said at the time. "And it started to escalate, and then I was trying to prevent it, and a couple other people jumped in, too."

He continued: "To me, it came out of nowhere. The other women felt like Kenya provoked [Porsha] a bit ... I was so shocked and surprised. I don't want that to happen. I think it's gross. And I think it just...it's totally inappropriate, it's wrong, it's not entertaining. It's just bad."
