The Walking Dead Season 5 Part 2 Premiere: AMC Releases New Promo for Mid-Season Premiere (Spoilers)
AMC knows how to tease fans of "The Walking Dead" all too well.
The hit show is now five seasons in, with this latest season being split in two a la "Breaking Bad" except without as long a wait. AMC has just released a new 30-second teaser for Part 2 of Season 5.
It may not contain much plot if any at all, but it is a glimpse at the characters we have come to love.
We see Maggie having a hard time, and reports are now surfacing that Maggie's character will be quite 'dark' in the last eight episodes. This is no doubt a result of the (SPOILERS) character grieving over the tragic and sudden loss of her sister Beth in the mid-season finale. There is some speculation that Maggie could have a suicide story line in the final eight episodes, as this was her fate in the comic books penned by creator Robert Kirkman.
Also in the teaser we hear Michonne wanting desperately to find a place to live and survive instead of just "making it." The next voice we hear is Rick's in his usual husky bad-ass accent, "This is what we do, this is how we survive." It seems Rick will be leading the group in and out of danger once more.
The approximately month-long wait doesn't have to be complete torture for those who can't wait to take part again with the characters of "The Walking Dead." AMC understands the pain we may be living through and has provided its best attempt at a cure.
From Dec. 30 until Jan. 3, AMC will be playing a marathon of every zombie-filled, heart breaking, soul crushing episode of "The Walking Dead" from the very beginning, all the way until the Season 5 mid-season finale. So if you haven't caught up on the most successful cable television show of all time, now is your chance.
AMC's "The Walking Dead" returns Feb. 8 for the final eight episodes.
