Hip-hop mogul Jay Z is currently overseas, on the Magna Carta World Tour. The international star makes the event even more interesting, arriving at his concert by public transportation.

On October 12, Saturday afternoon, Jay Z hopped on a commuter train, the London Underground, also known as the "tube," en route to his show at O2 Arena. The rapper walked briskly through North Greenwich tube station, while surprised fans were screaming and taking pictures of this rare sight.

Hip-hop producer Timbaland and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin also decided to ride the tube along with the Londoners to their concert at the O2 Area -- to join the rapper onstage for a collaborative performance of "Heart of the City" later. The trio was spotted in Waterloo Station in Central London. The excited fans instantly swarmed the musicians.

"Transport For London" tweeted and stated on its Facebook page about the unusual incident.

"We had no idea Jay Z would be taking the Tube to his gig and it certainly took other passengers by surprise and there were a lot of people taking pictures and trying to get autographs. It isn't every day you bump into an international superstar, but North Greenwich station is becoming a good place to spot them with Rihanna also using the Tube to get to the O2 Arena."

The Brooklyn rapper was sporting a white t-shirt, black blazer, a pair of white sneakers and gold chains, just the way he would rock them in his hometown, New York City. Jay Z seemed to enjoy the ride on the Jubilee line tube, smiles on his face.

"London, England, South of France / And all points between they know about your man," Jay Z raps in "All Around The World" from his album "The Blueprint 2: The Gift & the Curse."
