Fitbit Charge Release & Review 2015: An Activity Tracker With High Praise
The Fitbit Charge is a new entry in the activity and step tracker wristband company. The Charge measures activity and sleep, and it starts at just $129.95.
Activity: The Charge will measure the number of steps you have taken. Most wristbands these days do that. But, the Charge also measures distance walked or ran, calories burned, floors climbed and time active per day.
It's good to know how long you have been active per day. This can help people who live a mostly sedentary life get up and move more.
A popular amount of steps per day for adults is 10,000. Many adults, due to time and other limits, never get 10,000 steps per day. With the Fitbit Charge, you will be able to see how many steps per day you are getting and see how many more you want to add to get 10,000 each day.
Sleep: Of course, getting good sleep is important too. Fitbit aims to track how many hours of sleep you get per night. The Charge automatically tracks your sleep. It does this by detecting movement. If you are a restless sleeper it detects those movements too and gives you a sleep efficiency score.
Syncing Your Data: The best part about these activity trackers is being able to see your progress. Fitbit syncs easily with your computer or mobile device, and you will be able to log all your data on a day-to-day basis.
Watch Mode: Of course, since you wear it on your wrist and it looks like a watch, the Fitbit can also tell you what time it is.
Thanks to a ultra-long battery, you can go 7-10 days without charging your Fitbit.
The Charge has mostly positive reviews on Amazon. Over 750 people have reviewed one of the listings for the Charge, and it received 4 out of 5 stars.
