Chiquis Rivera may be having problems with her one of her uncles, but her relationship with Juan Rivera is as strong as ever.

The singer shared an image where she posed with her uncle and explained how much he means to her.

"In between moments of darkness or days filled with light, this man has been by my side unconditionally saying the truth or just to give me a hug that says a million words," she said. "For this and many other reasons, I love him. He has been the father I never had. I love you Uncle @juanriveramusic! I'm so grateful for your existence. #timeless."

Chiquis and her sister were sexually abused as children by their father, Jose Marin. Marin also sexually abused Jenni Rivera's sister, Rosie. In 2006, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

In 2014, Chiquis spoke about forgiving her father in an interview with "Sabado Gigante" host Don Francisco, according to Esmas.

"I forgive him and I still love him," she said. "He's my father. If it weren't for him and my mother, I wouldn't be there. At some point, when I feel healed, I'd like to see him and hug him."

Gustavo Rivera, another one of Chiquis's uncles, recently posted a picture of finding a magazine cover with his niece's face on it.

Chiquis reposted the image, which featured her on the cover of Para Todos Magazine, onto her Instagram account.

Chiquis also posted pictures of her two younger siblings recently. Her youngest sister is making a funny face, as her brother hugs her.

"My loves," she said. "My daily reason to keep pressing, pushing, fighting and pulling my way through this little thing we call LIFE. #Hope"
