Manchester United is reportedly ready to resume its pursuit of Gareth Bale after the midfielder reportedly earned the ire of Real Madrid stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema for his "individualistic" acts.

According to Marca, Ronaldo and Benzema made Bale aware of their displeasure after the play where Real Madrid could have easily scored a goal in their 2-1 loss to Valencia on Sunday.

With the game tied at 1-1, Real Madrid had a golden opportunity to break the deadlock as Bale managed to evade his defender. But instead of making a simple pass to Benzema, who has an open scoring lane, Bale opted to take it on his own, which did not sit well with Ronaldo, Benzema and several Real Madrid players.

"The Real Madrid players are not angry with Bale for not scoring, but for the decision he made. However, Ronaldo also missed an absolute sitter for Real Madrid and nobody said anything to him," Marca reported.

The Daily Star reported that Manchester United could take advantage of the rumored rift between Bale and his teammates by convincing Real Madrid to part ways with the Wales international.

Previous reports indicated that Manchester United, who are looking to make big moves in the hope of reclaiming their lost glory in the Barclays Premier League, are ready to spend 120 million pounds to acquire Bale.

But if Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will be given full authority on Bale's situation, the 25-year-old will likely stay at Bernabeu.

While Ancelotti also looked surprise when Bale opted to take it on his own, the 55-year-old coach defended their star midfielder, saying that their 100 million-euro signing is not an individualist.

"I have watched the move and it was not easy to pass the ball," Ancelotti said via ESPN FC. "It was very difficult. He had no space, and tried to score. I do not need to talk with him. He knows very well when he has to pass the ball. But he took the right decision."

Late last year, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez also reiterated Bale will remain at Bernabeu and the club will not entertain offers from all teams.

"Bale is not for sale and we will never listen to any offers for him," Perez said via The Telegraph. "I cannot imagine Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo, nor Gareth Bale. This is a unique player who has already given us a lot and is crucial to the future of the club."
