Straight jet black hair and bright cinnamon skin isn't the standard look for all Hispanics and Latinos.

This is true despite the fact that media has long encouraged the belief that all Latinos share features popularized by celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Prince Royce and Victoria Justice.

Latinos come much lighter and darker than many expect. They also happen to be taller and shorter, as well as thinner and more rotund than what's advertised on television.

The Hispanic/Latino population is as diverse as many nations from which they derive; and European, Asian and African culture and tones have marked the various countries.

There happens to be a TON of celebs who've gone their entire careers without being "outed" as Latino, while many others, amid doubts, let their Latino flag fly.

Lamorne Morris: The actor who plays the zany and unforgettable Winston Bishop on the FOX's "New Girl" revealed that he's half Dominican. He confessed he doesn't speak Spanish, but he's trying to learn a lot more about his culture.

Michael Trevino: The brawny "Vampire Diaries" star once told Latina.com, "I'm a full-blooded Mexican. My mother was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and my father -- the son of Mexican immigrants -- was born near Fresno, California."

Trina: Female rap goddess is known for her curves, but the Miami-born emcee is less known for her Latina roots. She once told BallerStatus.net, "My dad's family is from the Dominican Republic. I don't really know them like that; he hasn't been a part of my life since forever."

Meagan Good: The actress who was once go-to "bad girl" on screen has a grandmother from Puerto Rico.

Maiara Walsh: The young actress is best known for roles on "Cory and the House," "Desperate Housewives" and "Separated at Birth," playing many different ethnicities, but Walsh is 100 percent Brazilian.

David Blaine: The illusionist who has set a number of records is the son of a Russian Jewish mother and a Puerto Rican father.

Sammy Davis, Jr.: The only non-white member of the Rat Pack," Davis was born in New York City to an African American father and a Puerto Rican mother. Kelis: The Harlem native, known for her hit "Milkshake," was born to an African American father and a Puerto Rican and Chinese mother. "[We had] pernil and we always had coquito," the singer once told Rap-Up.com about celebrating "Noche Buena" with the Boricua side of her family.

Fabolous: John "Fabolous" Jackson is half Dominican on his father's side, which he hints at the in the album "Loso's Way."

Courtney Ford: The "Revenge" actress never plays Latina characters, however she once told Latina.com, "On my mom's side, my grandparents were born in New Mexico and their parents were born in New Mexico and their parents were born in New Mexico. And I think New Mexico was admitted into the Union in 1912. My great grandparents were born in 1916. So their parents were born in New Mexico before New Mexico was even part of the United States. Isn't that crazy?"

Nicole Richie: Socialite and reality star Nicole Richie is the adopted daughter of Lionel Richie. And she was actually born Nicole Camille Escovedo to a Mexican mother.

Charisma Carpenter: Better known as Cordelia Chase on Joss Whedon's hit TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and its spinoff "Angel," Charisma's dad is French and German, but her mom is a mix of Cherokee and Spanish. The actress lived in Rosarito City, Mexico during her teen years.
