Australian DJ and model Ruby Rose will star in the upcoming season of Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black.” The news come a couple of months before the show’s third season is released on Netflix.

Buzzfeed reports the Australian musician and actor would appear in the upcoming season. Though her character’s name was revealed, not many details about the 28-year-old’s role in the popular television show have surfaced.

Rose, who is openly bisexual, announced the news on her Facebook page, referencing an interview with Elle magazine in which she talks about her role in the show.

Buzzfeed confirmed with Netflix that she will play Stella Carlin, “an inmate at Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution whose sarcastic sense of humor and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield’s inmates.”

Rose has been dropping hints on Instagram about her upcoming role. She posted some images of her wearing orange prison overalls.

She also appeared with some of the “Orange is the New Black” cast members celebrating actor’s Danielle Brooks’ birthday. Brooks plays Taystee on the show.

Elle explains that Rose will play the love interest of both Piper and Alex, according to Buzzfeed; but Netflix did not confirm this.

Rose is well known for appearing in a video about gender norms in summer of 2014. She is also currently engaged to fashion designer Phoebe Dahl, granddaughter of children's book author Roald Dahl.

"Orange is the New Black" is set to return sometime in the summer of 2015.
