Colombian superstar Shakira is a force to be reckoned with on her own, but when she teams up with fellow vocal powerhouses like Rihanna for "Can't Remember to Forget You" -- and now Iggy Azalea for her new album, the ferocity is at an all-time high.

While some may say Shakira, 37, is taking a cue from Jennifer Lopez, 45, who just teamed up with the 24-year-old Australian rapper for the steamy "Booty" hit, which featured the two stars oiled up and shaking their derrieres, remember Shakira's 'hips don't lie!'

The collaboration isn't the only thing in common for the Latina talents, however; both JLo and Shakira have been vocal judges on TV -- Shakira for "The Voice" and JLo for "American Idol," a role in which she returns to Wednesday on FOX. (She's also starring in "The Boy Next Door," which hits theaters on Jan. 23).

According to the Spanish newspaper, El Mundo, Shakira is putting the final touches on her eleventh studio album, which will include several collaborations from a variety of genres.

Shakira's album is said to be a "multi-national affair, including other team-ups with the Mexican rock band Maná, Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz, and English MC Dizzee Rascal," Billboard noted, but it hasn't been confirmed as to whether these artists will make the final album or not.

In the past, Shakira has collaborated with the sultry-voiced Sanz and released the hits, "La Tortura" and "Te Lo Agradezco Pero No."

In addition to the Barbados beauty Rihanna, the Colombian singer's last album, titled "Shakira," included guest spots from "The Voice" judge and country singer Blake Shelton and Canadian reggae fusion band Magic!.

Shakira shifted gears and reportedly decided to make her new album more bilingual and not solely a Spanish-language album, like she had initially planned. This will ultimately serve as a good move on her part in terms of her international appeal.

When can Shakira fans expect to hear the Colombian superstar's highly anticipated album?

Her new album is supposed to drop this Spring, El Mundo reports, but Shakira isn't in a rush to release it for she is expecting her second child with her boyfriend Gerard Piqué. Piqué is a Spanish professional soccer star who plays centre-back for FC Barcelona and the Spain national team.

In a scene very different than her glammed-up video shoots, a very pregnant Shakira was recently pictured sledding with Piqué and son Milan.

"Signing off for 2014 with some extreme sports! Wishing you all a very happy 2015!! Shak" she wrote to her fans on Twitter. (She also shared the video on Facebook.)

Any more children for Shakira and Piqué down the road?

"With Gerard [Piqué] I'd have 20 children but I don't think I'll have the luxury to do it," Shakira said in an earlier interview. "For now we're going for the second one, we'll see what happens..."

The happy couple met on the set of her music video for her World Cup anthem "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" in 2010.
