On Saturday, French police continued to search for Hayat Boumeddiene, the woman suspected to be connected to the recent terrorists attacks in France.

Authorities in France launched a manhunt for Boumeddiene, who is the common law wife of one of the terrorists killed during a hostage standoff with police at a kosher grocery store in Paris, reports Fox News.

Boumeddiene is suspected of being involved in the killing of a policewoman in a Paris suburb on Thursday. Police also believe that the 26-year-old Islamic woman acted as an accomplice for her husband, Amedy Coulibaly, who was killed when police raided the store Hyper Cacher. According to police, the hostage-takers killed four hostages before authorities entered in.

There are also reports that Boumeddiene may have left the country at the beginning of the month and could be in staying in Syria.  Authorities warned that she may be armed and dangerous.

Officials believe Boumeddiene, who married Coulibaly in an Islamic religious ceremony in July 2009, has ties to Cherif Kouachi, one of the brothers who killed 12 people at the Charlie Hebdo magazine office on Wednesday. Both Cherif and his brother, Said, are believed to be linked to Al Qaeda in Yemen and died Friday in a raid at a printing facility.

According to Sky News, officials hope that Boumeddiene could offer valuable information on other terrorist cells.

So far, the Paris prosecutor's office announced that 16 people have been arrested since the attacks began on Wednesday, reports NBC News. The office told The New York Times that Boumeddiene had been in "constant and sustained" contact with Cherif's girlfriend.

In addition, the report stated that Cherif and Couibaly looked at French-Algerian jihadist Djamel Beghal as a mentor. He served time in prison for plotting to blow up the U.S. Embassy in Paris before the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S.
