The return of CBS's "Criminal Minds" after its winter hiatus has finally arrived, and there will be a lot in store for the rest of the season.

The long running series will return on Monday, Jan. 14 with an all-new episode, featuring an intense case involving mass murder, occultism and "Melrose Place" alum Grant Alan Show. In the episode, which is titled "The Forever People," the FBI's elite BAU will discover frozen bodies in Nevada and go on the hunt for the suspected cult behind the mass murder. Show, who is best known for playing Jake Hanson on "Melrose Place," will play the role of Cult Leader Colton Grant, reports BreatheCast.com.

In addition, Pakistani-American actor Faran Tahir will reprise his role as Tivon Askari, the terrorist who kidnapped JJ back in Season 9.

CBS issued a press release with the official synopsis, which reads as follows:

"When frozen bodies are found in Nevada floating in water, the BAU's investigation leads them to suspect that the victims were part of a cult that could be behind the deaths. Also, JJ (A.J. Cook) confronts old demons from her abduction and torture last year. Grant Show guest stars. Faran Tahir returns as Tivon Askari, who abducted JJ last year," according to Carter Matt.

CBS also dropped spoilers about the the upcoming Jan. 21 episode, titled "Anonymous," which will focus on David Rossi. The installment will also feature the return of his daughter, Joy, reports Carter Matt.

Joy was introduced last year in an episode titled "Fate" after Rossi was shocked to learn that he had a 20-something-year-old love child. A TV reporter named Joy told Rossi that she is his daughter and that her mother is a woman whom Rossi had a passionate fling with almost three decades ago, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The synopsis for "Anonymous" states:

"The BAU searches Tallahassee for a serial killer who calls the authorities to report the crimes prior to committing murder. Also, as Rossi prepares for a weekend visit with his daughter, Joy, he receives startling news about the death of a comrade in Vietnam."
