Is it "Tebow Time" once more? Speculation is flying around the internet today that Tim Tebow may be able to find a new home with the St. Louis Rams.

According to Mike Silver of the NFL Network, the Tebow rumors are not just internet gossip. He has it on good authority that the Rams have discussed bringing in the highly-controversial quarterback to become the signal caller for the Rams.

The speculation has been prompted by an injury on Sunday to the Rams' starting quarterback Sam Bradford. Though it was not initially known what the injury was, an MRI has concluded that Bradford did suffer a torn ACL in his left knee, and will be out for the season.

That means that the Rams will need to find an extra quarterback, and quick. It is being reported that they will be looking at several different options to fill the vacancy.

"StL1: Sounds like the Rams, if injury to Bradford is as bad as feared, will have a QB-workout day Monday, w/roundup of the usual suspects," tweeted Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King. "StL2: You know: Leinart, Thigpen, Skelton--those types. Maybe, as @mikesilver said, Tebow. Not Vince Young. Not a a Jeff Fisher-match."

Whether or not Tebow will get the job is unknown, though Mike Silver did say that he thought the prospect was "highly unlikely." Tebow's stock has taken a nosedive in the league over the past few years, despite his popularity among fans.

A spot with the Rams might not be such a bad fit, however. Two years ago Tebow came in to resuscitate a Denver Broncos team that looked to be dead in the water, and was able to lead them to a playoff victory.

Still, Tebow's lack of solid fundamentals and questionable accuracy has spooked just about every executive away from signing him. He's not the only one either. A similar fate has befell Vince Young, though he has been far more vocal about his desire to land a role with the Rams.

"Let them know VY is in shape and ready to go! I always loved my birth place and everyone who lives in it IM READY," tweeted the former University of Texas star.
