Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Breakup News Update 2015: Did Couple Fake Relationship for Publicity Stunt?
A report speculating Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart might have faked their relationship from the beginning has recently surfaced online.
Celeb Dirty Laundry [via Gossip Cop] questioned whether the "Twilight" co-stars' relationship was just a publicity stunt for their romance fantasy film series.
"Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson dated for several years, but was their relationship ever really a 'relationship' or was it just a convenient PR showmance designed to sell the 'Twilight' movies to the gullible movie-going public?" the website asked.
The gossip publication also pointed out the ex-couple's lack of PDA as the reason behind its speculation, stating, "A reasonable explanation is that Kristen just didn't give a damn about her relationship with Rob and was just going through the motions for the sake of publicity.
"I think many people have concluded that Rob and Kristen were never really the 'Robsten' that their adoring fans concocted for them," the reporter concluded. "In fact, it's much more likely that they were colleagues thrown into a crazy situation together and trying to make the best of it, and offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if they just sucked it up and played ball with creating a showmance."
In addition, "The Rover" actor and the "Still Alice" actress have reportedly not spoken to each other in over six months.
"They have zero contact with each other," a source revealed to Naughty Gossip. "They were staying in touch for a while after they split, but now, not at all. They don't have each other's phone numbers and don't email each other. It's over."
It is clear that they do not want anything to do with each other, as Kristen Stewart was recently caught on video cursing at a fan who had a snapshot of her cuddling with Robert Pattinson.
