On Wednesday, New Orleans rapper Kevin Gates revealed he dated his cousin for two years.

Gates explained he initially did not know he was sleeping with his cousin. Many people, however, commented that the two "looked like brother and sister," and three months after they hooked up, Gates' grandmother confessed that the two are actually cousins.

Shockingly enough, Gates continued to date his cousin even after his grandmother's revelation.

"Why f*ck up a good thing?" the 28-year-old rapper said of his decision to his 1.3 million Instagram followers.

Gates announced he continued to date his family member because they "click" and their sexual compatibility was great.

Gates later spoke with TMZ Live about his controversial Instagram videos and explained he and his cousin are no longer together but still remain "close friends." He also revealed he never cared to find out whether he had dated his first, second or third cousin. The identity of Gates' cousin has not been revealed.

Prior to confessing he dated his cousin, Gates made another shocking confession online, revealing his enjoyment for what he described as "eating booty" during sexual intercourse.

"If it's a woman that I love and I'm dealing with and we develop a certain level of intimacy ... If I love a woman, I'm supposed to lick her toes, eat her p*ssy, eat her booty," Gates explained to Revolt. "Yeah I eat booty. Real n*ggas eat booty, real n*ggas please their b*tches."

Gates concluded his statement by revealing his "eat booty" comment was well received by his fans and earned him an additional 500,000 followed on Instagram.
