Creator Kurt Sutter revealed in May 2012 that he had plans for a browser-based game for FX's hit outlaw motorcycle club series, as he tweeted:
SOA GAME UPDATE. had a great meeting with a big distributor yesterday. myself and everyone at FX and Fox is committed to making this happen. — kurt sutter (@sutterink) May 9, 2012
Five months later, he changed his mind after a few attempts, saying:
@RockstarGames you should make the SOA game. i know it's an expensive/complicated process, but let's chat, see if we can make it happen. — kurt sutter (@sutterink) October 31, 2012
I'm done. No interest from industry, little support from fox. It B dead. RT @EddieMakuch: Hey Kurt up for an interview about SOA game...

Sutter then teased fans the highly anticipated video game in February last year, tweeting:
i cannot give you anymore details, but i will tell you that -- there will definitely be an SOA GAME. and it's pretty fucking awesome. — kurt sutter (@sutterink) February 11, 2014
no, it's not a board game. :) 1st person, action adventure. HD graphics. it represents the evolution of gaming. i'm hard just typing this. — kurt sutter (@sutterink) February 11, 2014
During his TwinGalaxies YouTube show "Kurt Sutter's Intercoarse" in August, the showrunner confirmed that a "very high-end tablet game" is in development, and from seeing a demo in action, it is shaping up to be "really f--king awesome."
"I don't have a lot of specifics because we have pieces of the game that have to sort of fall together in terms of the launch of it," Sutter said at the time.
