'The Bachelorette & The Bachelor' Cast News 2015: Host Chris Harrison Was Unaware of Recent Breakup
Following the abrupt end to Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray’s engagement, more people are commenting on their failed relationship. The latest is the host of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” Chris Harrison, who expressed surprise at the couple’s break up.
Speaking to TV Guide, Harrison talked about how he was blindsided by their break up announcement. The couple announced they were ending their engagement just months after becoming engaged on Season 10 of “The Bachelorette” earlier in 2014.
The couple announced their break up on Jan. 8, just days after the Season 19 premiere of “The Bachelor,” where Dorfman and Murray appeared together.
“I had no clue. The only thing was that I felt [they] were a little off, but ... they seemed happy and played the part,” Harrison said. “By no means did I know they were broken up and did that interview because honestly, having been through a crappy breakup, I would've protected it more and stayed away from wedding talk and I wouldn't have put them on the spot.
“That had to be horribly uncomfortable and awkward knowing they were probably going to break up,” he said of his interview during the premiere. “I was surprised, considering everyone seemed good on Monday. I hope Andi will sit down with me whenever the time is right for her because I'm interested [to know what happened]; it felt sudden to call it quits. But I hope people give them a break.”
Despite the break up, it seems like Josh Murray has moved on. According to Wetpaint, he has moved back in with his parents and returned to Florida.
On Twitter, Murray confirmed this, announcing his return to Tampa.

People reported the couple separated amicably and remain friends.
"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways," they said in a statement. "We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually."
